Mama of the Month
July: Sam Muscarella
We’re so excited to spotlight Sam Muscarella as our Mama of the Month! Sam is a shining example of strength, dedication, and community spirit. Whether she’s crushing a 5:30 AM Body Boost class or organizing fun for local families, Sam brings unmatched energy and heart to everything she does.
She’s a proud mama to Emma (8) and Luca (6), and first joined FIT4MOM Thousand Oaks with one simple goal: to become friends with another mama in the village. (Spoiler: it worked!) But what she found was so much more—an inspiring community that’s supported her through every step of motherhood and wellness.
“Fit4Mom changed my life. I found a community of moms that I can connect with and lean on for support. Amy and Rachael helped me prioritize fitness and community, which led to a level of well-being I had never experienced before—both physically and mentally.”
Sam’s favorite class is Body Boost, thanks to its challenging workouts and incredible, uplifting mom-only environment. She’s a consistent force at early morning classes, and her presence encourages others to show up and give their best.
moreJune: Morgan Kent
This month, we are so excited to celebrate Morgan Kent! Morgan is a hard-working mama to Dean (3) and Sierra (1) who balances motherhood with her role at Moorpark College, where she organizes the amazing Apricot Festival every year. We are so lucky to have her in our village!
She’s been a beloved part of Fit4Mom Thousand Oaks since her son was just 3 months old. Morgan came searching for a supportive community and a way to get moving — and found so much more. “I’ve met my friends here, gotten back in shape after two pregnancies, and my kids have friends here... I honestly can’t imagine life without it right now,” she says.
Her favorite class? Strides 360 — mostly because she doesn’t run otherwise 😉. When she’s not crushing it in class, Morgan stays grounded with scheduled spa days, sings Pink Pony Club songs with her son on the way to school, and shares this wise advice for new moms:
“Almost everything is a phase — hang in there!”
Her ultimate mom hack? Wipes in every bag, car, and stroller.
Morgan’s favorite quote perfectly captures motherhood:
“Motherhood means watching your heart walk around outside your body for the rest of your life.” – Elizabeth Stone
moreMay: Liz Gagliardo
Meet Liz — one of our early risers, longtime village mamas, and a true example of strength in motherhood.
Nine years ago, Liz found Fit4Mom Thousand Oaks during a summer at home with her 18-month-old. She needed connection, movement, and a reason to get out of the house — and she’s been showing up ever since.
These days, you’ll find her riding her bike to 5:30am Boost, no matter the season or weather. Her consistency is unmatched — no excuses, just deep commitment to herself and this community. “I’m always happy to see my morning workout crew,” she says — and we’re always happy to see her.
Liz is also a dedicated teacher at Pepperdine University and a proud mom to 10-year-old Max. She pours herself into her family, her students, and her health — all while uplifting those around her.
“I’ve found a community of mothers here — I don’t know how I would’ve managed without the support, advice, and hilarious stories from my fellow mamas.”
Her go-to mom wisdom?
“Give it three days.”
Whether it’s a worry that needs time to pass or a new habit you’re trying to build, Liz reminds us that a little patience goes a long way.

We’re thrilled to celebrate Mary Hunter as our very first Mama of the Month at Fit4Mom Thousand Oaks!
Mary is mom to Josie (5) and Desi (3) and joined our village through her high school friend (and Fit4Mom coach!) Megan Egnatchik. Since then, she’s become a strong, inspiring presence in our community.

🌱 Her Fit4Mom Journey
“Fit4Mom has given me a true sense of community. Connecting with other moms, sharing experiences, and normalizing the changes of motherhood has been so supportive.
I’ve reached personal fitness goals, built a consistent routine, and rebuilt my wellness foundation. Best of all, my kids see that movement is part of our family’s lifestyle—they can’t wait to come to ‘mommy class’ every weekend!”
