July: Sam Muscarella

We’re so excited to spotlight Sam Muscarella as our Mama of the Month! Sam is a shining example of strength, dedication, and community spirit. Whether she’s crushing a 5:30 AM Body Boost class or organizing fun for local families, Sam brings unmatched energy and heart to everything she does.

She’s a proud mama to Emma (8) and Luca (6), and first joined FIT4MOM Thousand Oaks with one simple goal: to become friends with another mama in the village. (Spoiler: it worked!) But what she found was so much more—an inspiring community that’s supported her through every step of motherhood and wellness.

“Fit4Mom changed my life. I found a community of moms that I can connect with and lean on for support. Amy and Rachael helped me prioritize fitness and community, which led to a level of well-being I had never experienced before—both physically and mentally.”

Sam’s favorite class is Body Boost, thanks to its challenging workouts and incredible, uplifting mom-only environment. She’s a consistent force at early morning classes, and her presence encourages others to show up and give their best.

Outside of class, Sam is deeply involved in the Weathersfield Elementary School community, where she pours her heart into making school life better for all families. She advocates fiercely for student safety (including fighting for our local crossing guard!), works tirelessly with the PTA, and helps make school events and activities more fun and inclusive for everyone. Her commitment to giving back is truly inspiring.

💡 A Few of Sam’s Favorite Things

Go-To Survival Tip: Build a village! Sam says she couldn’t get through the week without her early morning workout crew.

Mom Hack: Put everything in the dishwasher—and don’t pre-rinse!

Self-Care Ritual: Going on walks solo—it’s quiet, grounding, and just for her.

Pump-Up Song: “Let’s Get Loud” by J.Lo

Motherhood Theme Song: “Born to Be Wild”

Quote That Inspires Her:

"Life is strange. You arrive with nothing, spend your whole life chasing everything, and leave with nothing. Make sure your soul gains more than your hands."

Best Advice to New Moms:

“You’re doing great, mama. Keep going—one day at a time. What works for me might not work for you. You do you!”

Thank you, Sam, for showing up with strength, kindness, and a sense of humor that makes every class (and every school event!) a little brighter. We’re so lucky to have you in our FIT4MOM village and in this community. 💕
